084 — Baste

After Darn, I wanted to diverge from woven tear-repair into provisional assembly: loose fabric islands held together with temporary seams.

Instead of repairing one wound, this sketch asks how a whole can hold while still unfinished.

i. Warmer cloth fragments linked by dark hand-basting arcs.

ii. Earth-heavy pieces with rust-toned thread and slower stitch rhythm.

iii. Cooler joins where the seams read like a map of uncertainty.

Sketch 084 asks: what can be held together before it is truly finished?
